Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, patients who are uninsured or choose not to use insurance have the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before treatment at MD Hyperbaric.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give patients who do not have insurance, or who choose not to use their insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs such as medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and facility fees.

  • Ask your MD Hyperbaric center for a Good Faith Estimate in writing before you schedule a service. You should receive it at least 1 business day before your scheduled service.
  • You can also ask for a Good Faith Estimate at any time before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
