Dr. Amir Hadanny is a neurosurgeon, neuroscientist, and Chief Medical Officer of MD Hyperbaric, leading clinical programs, medical protocols, and research. For nearly two decades, he has studied hyperbaric oxygen therapy for neurological and chronic conditions, authoring more than 80 peer-reviewed publications. Board-certified in neurosurgery in Israel, he completed advanced training in the United States and holds an MD and a PhD in Bioinformatics and Machine Learning.

Dr. Martin O'Malley is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery and a co-founder of MD Hyperbaric. He is an attending surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery and an Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College, serving as Team Orthopedist for the Brooklyn Nets and former Team Physician for USA Basketball. Named NBA Trainers Association Physician of the Year, he has treated more than 100 NBA and NFL players.

Dr. Bowen is Medical Director of New Jersey Regenerative Institute and MD Hyperbaric in Parsippany. His work includes interventional pain management, regenerative medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, sports injuries, and chronic tendon disorders.

He is actively involved in clinical research and medical education. His interest in hyperbaric medicine grew from his work in regenerative medicine and the need for better care for persistent symptoms after concussions.

Dr. Salk received his medical degree from Cornell-Weill and completed his residency, research fellowship, and Master of Public Health at UCLA. He has served as a department chairman at Hartford Healthcare and held academic appointments at UConn and Yale.

He has also served as Medical Director for mass gathering events, including Burning Man. His involvement in hyperbaric medicine was inspired by the patient outcomes he witnessed during his career.

Dr. Tiso earned a degree in Molecular Biophysics from Yale University and his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University. His background in biophysics sparked his interest in hyperbaric oxygen therapy and the physics of gas exchange.

He has served as President of the New York Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and serves as Chairman of its Advocacy Consortium. He brings a longstanding commitment to improving patients’ lives to his work in hyperbaric care.

Sheri Smith, MD, is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery, ABOS-certified and a member of AOFAS and AAOS. A former college athlete, she trained at both the University of Oklahoma and Baylor University Medical Center and is IBUM certified. Her interest in hyperbaric care stems from its potential to optimize healing, support injury and surgery recovery, promote longevity, and improve health and quality of life for patients managing chronic health conditions.

Brian F. Jewell, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Medical Director at MD Hyperbaric Pittsburgh. Fellowship-trained in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, he previously served as an orthopedic consultant for the Pittsburgh Pirates. His background combines decades of treating sports injuries with scuba instruction and training through a UHMS-approved hyperbaric medicine program, supporting his focus on safe treatment, recovery and performance.

Dr. Elizabeth Bigelow is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who has practiced since 2009, with experience in primary care, urgent care, telemedicine, and medical direction. She is drawn to hyperbaric medicine for its ability to support the body’s natural healing processes through improved oxygen delivery. She values its noninvasive approach and its potential to enhance recovery, reduce inflammation, and improve quality of life.

Jack P. Failla, MD is Board Certified in Orthopaedic surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Failla resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a founding partner of Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Failla earned a Baccalaureate Degree in mathematics-biology and chemistry and a Doctorate of Medicine at Marquette University, and served as a flight surgeon in the United States Navy.

Joanna’s clinical background spans acute care, emergency medicine, wellness, and hyperbaric medicine. She is certified by the International Board of Undersea Medicine as a Functional Medicine Hyperbaric Clinician.

She was drawn to hyperbaric medicine through her interest in supporting healing and quality of life. Building lasting relationships with patients is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Elizabeth has specialized training and certification in hyperbaric medicine, alongside her experience in cardiology and primary care.

She is passionate about the role of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in supporting the body’s natural healing processes. Her focus is on helping patients heal safely and feel their best.

Dana’s experience spans urgent care, pediatric intensive care, emergency medicine, home infusion, nursing education, and behavioral health. She has cared for patients across the lifespan, with an emphasis on compassionate, evidence-based care.

A United States Marine Corps veteran, she brings the discipline and leadership shaped by her military service to her clinical work. She is passionate about caring for families and strengthening the communities she serves.

Cara Scarpato, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of healthcare experience, including 14 years as an Emergency Room nurse. Her background also includes Urgent Care, Primary Care, Occupational Health, and Preventative Medicine. Cara was drawn to hyperbaric medicine by its evolving research and evidence-based applications in supporting healing and recovery. She is passionate about combining clinical expertise with compassionate, individualized, patient-centered care.

Alem Djukic is an experienced nurse practitioner with a nearly 30-year background in inpatient care. He believes in holistic, patient-focused healthcare built on strong communication and collaborative medicine. Now transitioning into the community, Alem is passionate about utilizing hyperbaric therapy to support practice partners and accelerate established medical therapies for better patient outcomes. In his free time, Alem enjoys hiking and bike riding outdoors with his family.
